Holoscreens & Holopads

Holoscreens and holopads were volumetric interface systems that replaced conventional displays across the world. They used photonic emitters and micro-field confinement grids to project light into stable, semi-solid 3D structures suspended in air. These projections were not physical matter, but tightly controlled interference patterns that could be interacted with through gesture, eye movement, and neural-linked intent.
Holoscreens were fixed installations found in buildings, vehicles, and public infrastructure. They dynamically adapted to users and context, often displaying layered streams of data such as communications, analytics, and environmental overlays simultaneously.
Holopads were portable versions, typically palm-sized devices that project personal interfaces above a compact core unit. They allowed private, gesture-based interaction and could sync with ARG systems for near-subconscious control.
This created interfaces that feel physically present, highly responsive, and individually tailored, blurring the boundary between digital information and tangible experience while reinforcing dependence on the surrounding information infrastructure.
